Nature’s E.N.V. is the dried and separated solid faction of beef cattle digestate after it has been through an IBR (Induced Bed Reactor) Anaerobic Digester.  In other works organic matter which when added to the soil improves soil quality. By improving the soil structure and porosity it creates a better plant root environment. This enables roots to permeate the soil with growth and take in the slow releasing nutrients.

Nature’s E.N.V. provides a slow release of nutrients and allows the plants to develop naturally so that it has time to mature at an even rate, roots, stem, leaves, buds, seeds.  By encouraging vigorous root growth the plant can acquire the needed nutrients for the whole plant for which the soil was able to retain longer.

Nature’s E.N.V. offers the ability to enhance the soil with organic material. For heavy soil this increases the moisture infiltration, permeability and reduces bulk density, thereby improving moisture infiltration rates and reducing erosion and runoff.  For light soils the moisture holding capacity is increased which reduces water loss and nutrient leaching, improving moisture and nutrient retention.

Nature’s E.N.V. did not attract insects to our tomato test plots. There were only a couple of times that it looked as though there were any type of bugs feeding on the plants but we never sprayed or dusted them with any pesticides to remove any. They seemed to go away on their own. When I found signs of tomato worms I looked but could not find any to pick off.  Our plants continued to thrive.

Nature’s E.N.V. increased nutrient uptake in the soil is achieved by cation exchange, where root hairs pump hydrogen ions (H+) into the soil through proton pumps. These hydrogen ions displace cations attached to negatively charged soil particles so that the cations are available for uptake by the root. Soil organic matter also improves the cation exchange capacity of the soil by its ability to hold positively charged molecules, or ions, of mineral nutrients.

Organic matter provides plant nutrients, mainly nitrogen and sulfur and smaller amounts of phosphorus. About 20 pounds of nitrogen are released by decomp-osition of every 1 percent of organic matter in the soil. Organic matter is a primary reservoir for available forms of micro-nutrients (mainly zinc and boron).

Natural Fertilizers

Advantages

In nature, decomposition of organic matter creates a natural fertilizer. Applying organic compost or well-aged herbivore manure adds nutrient-rich organic material to the soil, improving quality and texture. Adding organic material to the soil increases its ability to hold water; reduces erosion from water and wind; decreases compaction and crusting of the soil; and raises soil PH. A study at Virginia Tech comparing organic or inorganic fertilizers determined that organic fertilizer is the better choice. Creating your own organic fertilizer from leaves, grass clippings, kitchen scraps and yard debris recycles waste into valuable, no-cost fertilizer. Natural fertilizers are less likely to burn tender, young plants as they are less concentrated than chemical formulas. You may also want the peace of mind of knowing the food you cultivate is free of noxious chemicals. Natural fertilizers are chemical-free and can save you money.

Improves Soil Health

Organic matter is essential to having healthy soil. Organic fertilizer is composed of only organic material, which makes it an excellent additive for soil that is nutrient deficient. The organic matter in the fertilizer also helps the soil retain moisture and increases its workability. Gardeners depend on a soil that is workable because soil that is too hard or soft will not support plants effectively. Another great benefit of organic fertilizer is that it increases airflow through the soil, which allows the plants' roots to breathe. In some cases, chemical fertilizers increase the acidity of soil due to the excess nutrients in the soil not absorbed by the plants. Organic fertilizers do not have this problem because they slowly break down and release nutrients at a rate, which allows plants to absorb them naturally and completely with no waste or excess.
